The noisy scattered calls and songs of birds in the mixed species bird flocks enhance the liveliness of the rainforest. We invite you to take part in this tour which definitely gives you an unforgettable birding experience for life with a chance to see the elusive, rare, endemic Serendib Scops Owl. In an average mixed species bird flock you can observe more than 15 bird species scattered in an approximate area, which includes several endemic birds.     ITINERARY

    Pickup from airport and travel to Sinharaja rainforest (World Heritage site). Birding in Sinharaja rainforest targeting the mixed species feeding flocks “The bird wave”. Overnight stay at famous Martin’s Lodge.

    Early morning birding starts at 0600hrs to observe the mixed species feeding flock that comes as a bird wave. After late lunch, drive back to Colombo and after little bit of souvenir shopping drive to the airport for departure.
