DAY 01: Airport ->Negombo
Pickup from Airport and head for a hotel in Negombo with an overnight stay there.
DAY 02: Negombo -> Pinnawela -> Habarana
Leave after breakfast for Habarana, the center of the Cultural triangle with a visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage on the way. Overnight stay at Habarana.
DAY 03: Habarana -> Sigiriya -> Polonnaruva -> Habarana
After breakfast visit the nearby rock fortress of Sigiriya and in the afternoon visit the Ancient city of Polonnaruwa, both of which are World Heritage Sites. Return back to Habarana for dinner.
DAY 04: Habarana -> Kandy
After breakfast leave for the hill capital of Kandy. Tour the city’s highlights all day including the Temple of the Tooth relic another World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
DYA 05: Kandy -> Nuwera Eliya
After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and then head for Nuwera Eliya visiting a Tea factory on the way. Spend the rest of the evening in Nuwera Eliya relaxing by the cold Gregory Lake with dinner and overnight stay there.
DAY 06: Nuwera Eliya -> Yala
In the morning proceed from the highlands to Tissamaharama in the south east via the enchanting Ella-Wellewaya route. An afternoon safari in the Yala National Park with an overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
DAY 07: Yala -> Hikkaduwa/Bentota
Leave Tissamaharama in the morning and head along the southern coast to Hikkaduwa or Bentota with stop at the Galle fort.
DAY 08-13: Leisure at a Beach resort in Hikkaduwa or Bentota
DAY 14: Departure
DAY 01: Airport ->Negombo
Pickup from Airport and travel to Negombo, a boat cruise in Muturajawela sanctuary and an overnight stay in a beach resort.
DAY 02: Negombo -> Pinnawela -> Nuwera Eliya
After breakfast leave for Nuwera Eliya via the scenic route of Kitulgala and Hatton with a stop at the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela.
DAY 03: Nuwera Eliya -> Belihuloya
After breakfast leave for Ohiya and hike down to Belihuloya through tea estates, pine forests, fields and remote villages. Overnight stay at Belihuloya.
DAY 04: Belihuloya -> Embilipitiya
Leave for Embilipitya in the morning for a safari to the Udawalawe National Park and an overnight stay at Embilipitiya.
DYA 05: Embilipitiya -> Kiriella
After breakfast begin canoeing down the Kalu River with its changing environments with an overnight stay at a camp site in Kiriella.
DAY 06: Kiriella -> Wadduwa
Break camp and continue the canoeing journey down the river. Pickup from embarking point and transfer to a hotel in Wadduwa with an overnight stay there.
DAY 07: Wadduwa -> Airport
Departure to airport.
DAY 01: Airport ->Kandy
Pickup from Airport and head straight to hill capital of Kandy.
DAY 02: Kandy -> Matale -> Sigiriya
Head to the Temple of the Tooth relic in Kandy in the morning with a city tour. In the afternoon head for Sigiriya with a visit to the historic Matale Aluvihara temple on the way. Overnight stay at Sigiriya.
DAY 03: Sigiriya -> Polonnaruwa -> Sigiriya
With an early morning breakfast visit the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya and in the afternoon head for the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, both of which are World Heritage Sites. Head back for the night at Sigiriya.
DAY 04: Sigiriya -> Damnbulla -> Negombo
After breakfast visit the World Heritage Site of the Golden Temple of Dambulla with its caves of stunning paintings and sculpture. Then head for the coastal town of Negombo in the afternoon with an overnight stay there.
DYA 05: Negombo -> Airport
DAY 01: Airport ->Negombo
Pickup from Airport and head to Negombo for an overnight stay there.
DAY 02: Negombo -> Pinnawela -> Dambulla
Leave Negombo in the morning for Dambulla, visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage on the way and in the afternoon visit the World Heritage Site of the Golden Temple of Dambulla with its stunning cave paintings and sculptures. Overnight stay in Dambulla.
DAY 03: Dambulla -> Kandy
Leave for Kandy in the morning with a visit to a Spice garden in Matale along the way. In the afternoon visit the Temple of the Tooth relic in Kandy which is another World Heritage Site and a city tour in the evening. Overnight stay in Kandy.
DAY 04: Kandy -> Nuwera Eliya
Leave Kandy in the morning and head for Nuwera Eliya with stops at scenic locations and waterfalls on the way. In the afternoon enjoy touring the Nuwera Eliya town and its environs with an overnight stay there.
DYA 05: Nuwera Eliya -> Tissamaharama
In the morning head for Tissamaharama in the south east of the island with an afternoon safari at Yala National Park. Overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
DAY 06: Tissamaharama -> Galle -> Colombo
Head for Colombo in the morning along the southern coast with a stop at the historic Dutch fort of Galle. An overnight stay at Colombo.
DAY 07: Colombo -> Airport
DAY 01: Airport ->Colombo
Pickup from Airport and head straight for a city tour of Colombo with an overnight stay there.
DAY 02: Colombo -> Nuwera Eliya
After breakfast head to Nuwera Eliya through beautiful landscapes and waterfalls stopping at scenic locations including a tea factory on the way. Arrive at Nuwera Eliya in the evening and relax the evening with an overnight stay there.
DAY 03: Nuwera Eliya -> Yala
Head for the Horton Plains National Park early in the morning for a hike through the scenic plains to this many attractions. In the afternoon head for Yala in the south east for an overnight stay there.
DAY 04: Yala
Early morning head for the Yala National Park for a jeep safari. Witness its marvels such as the Elephant, Sloth Bear, Leopard etc with a night camp in the park.
DYA 05: Yala -> Hambantota -> Embilipitiya
Leave Yala in the morning and head for Bundala National Park which is also a RAMSAR designated wetland famous for its diverse avifauna. In the afternoon proceed to Embilipitiya with an overnight stay there.
DAY 06: Embilipitiya
Morning safari at the Udawalawe National Park with a visit to the Elephant Transit Home at the Park. Overnight stay at Embilipitiya.
DAY 07: Embilipitiya -> Galle -> Colombo
Leave for Galle in the morning to visit the historic Galle fort and its old town. Then head for Colombo with a stop at the Kosgoda Turtle hatchery. Overnight stay at Colombo.
DAY 08: Departure
DAY 01: Airport ->Anawilundawa -> Puttalam
Pickup from Airport and head for the Anawilundawa wetlands in Chilaw with an overnight stay in Puttalam.
DAY 02: Puttalam -> Kandy
Head to the Puttalam lagoon early in the morning for bird watching and then to Kandy in the afternoon. Relax the evening in Kandy with an overnight stay there.
DAY 03: Kandy -> Nuwera Eliya
Visit the Udawattekale forest in Kandy early in the morning for a glimpse of its avifauna and then head for Nuwera Eliya by afternoon with an overnight stay there.
DAY 04: Nuwera Eliya -> Hambantota
Early in the morning head for the Horton Plains National Park for bird watching. In the afternoon head for Hambantota for an overnight stay there.
DAY 05: Hambantota -> Kanneliya
Visit the Bundala wetlands early morning for bird watching and head for Kanneliya in the evening for an overnight stay there.
DAY 06: Kanneliya -> Colombo
Hike the Kanneliya rainforest in the morning for bird watching and head for Colombo in the afternoon for an overnight stay there.
DAY 07: Colombo -> Airport
DAY 01: Airport ->Anawilundawa -> Puttalam
Pickup from Airport and head for the Anawilundawa wetlands in Chilaw with an overnight stay in Puttalam.
DAY 02: Puttalam -> Wilpattu
Head to the Puttalam lagoon early in the morning for bird watching and then for an afternoon safari at Wilpattu, the largest National Park in the country. Overnight stay at a hotel in Wilpattu.
DAY 03: Wilpattu -> Mannar
Early morning head for Mannar to the Vankalai Sanctuary and Kora Kulam for bird watching with an overnight stay in Mannar.
DAY 04: Mannar -> Chundikulam -> Jaffna
Head for the Chundikulam National Park at the beginning of the Jaffna Peninsular for bird watching with an overnight stay at a hotel at Elephant Pass or Jaffna.
DAY 05: Jaffna
Tour the birding sites along the Jaffna Lagoon and a visit the Delft island. Overnight stay at Jaffna.
DAY 06: Jaffna -> Negombo -> Depature
DAY 01: Airport -> Wilpattu
Pickup from Airport and drive to Wilpattu. Rest the evening there with an overnight stay.
DAY 02: Wilpattu -> Dambulla
A Safari at Sri Lanka’s largest National Park, Wilpattu in the morning and head back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch leave for Dambulla to visit the World Heritage Site of the Golden Temple of Dambulla with its enchanting caves of paintings and sculptures, and an overnight stay there.
DAY 03: Dambulla -> Sigiriya -> Kandy -> Nuwera Eliya
After breakfast visit the World Heritage Site of the rock fortress of Sigiriya and after lunch, head for Nuwera Eliya visiting the Temple of the Tooth relic or the Dalada Maligawa in Kandy on the way.
DAY 04: Nuwera Eliya -> Colombo
Early in the morning head for the enchanting Horton Plains National Park with its misty mountains and open plains and then head for Colombo in the afternoon. Arriving at Colombo will be followed by a visit to the Mount Lavinia beach to relax the evening with a delicious seafood dining experience there and an overnight stay.
DYA 05: Departure
DAY 01: Airport ->Pinnawela -> Kandy
Pickup from Airport and head straight for Kandy with a stop at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in Kegalle. In the evening a visit to the Temple of the Tooth relic or the Dalada Maligawa in Kandy with an overnight stay there in the enchanting Hill capital.
DAY 02: Kandy -> Sigiriya -> Dambulla -> Nuwera Eliya
Early in the morning head for the 5th century AD rock fortress of Sigiriya, one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon head to the nearby Golden Temple of Dambulla with its enchanting caves of paintings and sculptures. And drive back to misty mountains of Nuwera Eliya for an overnight stay there.
DAY 03: Nuwera Eliya-> Colombo
Early in the morning head for the enchanting Horton Plains National Park with its misty mountains and open plains and then head for Colombo in the afternoon.
DAY 04: Colombo -> Galle -> Colombo
From Colombo leave for Galle, the capital of the southern province with its Colonial Dutch fortress and town, spending the entire day there walking the ramparts and iconic streets of the old town and a visit to the nearby hill of Rumassala overlooking the bay and head back to Colombo for the night.
