This carefully planned itinerary covers both Nature and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka, with three famous National Parks Wilpaththu, Horton Plains and Yala. Also includes two botanical gardens, a rain forest, whale watching, Sea turtle hatchery, Hindu and Buddhist cultural sites, two world heritage cities and visit to a tribal community/ aborigine community (Veddahs community) in Mahiyanganaya. This is the longest tour package we have which cover almost all the cultural and natural aspects important for a tourist who visiting Sri Lanka. ITINERARY
Pickup from airport and travel to Anaiwilundawa Sanctuary for birding in the RAMSAR wetland (options Negombo fish market, Munneshwaram Kovil, Chilaw sand pits) lunch on the way and overnight stay in Wilpattu.
Full day jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park with packeted breakfast & lunch, overnight stay in Wilpattu.
Full day Jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park, picketed breakfast and lunch, 1500hrs travel to Dambulla to overnight stay (Optional; Late night walk for Loris and other nocturnal animals in a manmade forest).
After breakfast travel to Sigiriya, birding around Pidurangala area (Optional: Climb Pidurangala Rock to view Sigiriya Rock Fortress from a different angle). Climb Sigiriya rock A UNESCO world heritage site. Lunch in Dambulla, after lunch visit Dambulla Cave Temple, another UNESCO world heritage site. Evening travels to Kandy for overnight stay.
Early morning bird watching in Udawatta kele Forest reserve, after breakfast visit Temple of the tooth relic (Sri Dhaladha maligawa). After lunch drive to see Gadaladeniya, Lankathilaka ancient temple, Ambekke Dewālaya for world famous wood carvings. Later birding in the village for endemic birds, visit the gem museum in the evening, overnight stay in Kandy.
After breakfast checkout and leave for Mahiyanganaya. En-route visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Overnight stay in Mahiyanaganaya.
After breakfast visit the Dambanna Veddah community (Sri Lankan Tribal community) for cultural dances, Wedda museum, souvenirs shop, after lunch travel to Nuwara Eliya for overnight stay (Optional; Mahiyanganaya Sora Bora Tank).
After breakfast visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens, on the way back stop at Seetha Aman Kovil, relax at the hotel after lunch. Evening bird watching in Galwayas National Park, Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay Nuwara Eliya.
After early breakfast checkout and leave for Horton Plains National Park. Late lunch at Haputhale. Travel again to Udawalawa for overnight stay.
Full day jeep safari at Udawalawa National Park, 1500hrs view baby elephant feeding at Udawalawa Elephant Transit Home. Evening travel to Yala for overnight stay.
Full day Jeep safari in Yala National Park, evening viit Kataragama Kiri Vehera, Katharagma Dewalaya. Overnight stay in Yala.
After breakfast visit Sithulpawuwa Buddhist Monastery, lunch at Yala and travel to Mirissa for overnight stay (Optional; Dewundara dewalaya).
0600hrs Whale watching, lunch at Mirissa and travel to Hikkaduwa Marine National Park for coralreef watching (Optional: Scuba diving). Afterwards leave for Ahungalla, Sea Turtles Conservation Center to see the releasing of Sea Turtles. Overnight stay in Ahungalla.
After breakfast checkout and leave for Sinharaja Rainforest, Kudawa (a world heritage site), en-route boat ride at Madu river (1-2 hour), overnight stay at Sinharaja.
Early morning bird watching at Sinharaja Rainforest, Kudawa, after late lunch leave to Colombo for overnight stay. City tour and shopping in the late evening.
After breakfast checkout and leave for departure, if time prevail bird watching in Colombo wetlands branded as World 1st RAMSAR wetland city, Colombo.
