All the 33 endemic birds in Sri Lanka aggregated within the wet zone where it further divide in to two biogeographically distinctive regions as low country and the hill country, because of that this tour package is planned to give you the most promising observations of both low country and high country endemic birds. You will be able to explore the two most diverse low country rainforest patches in Sri Lanka, the Sinharaja Rainforest (A world heritage site) in Kudawa and Makandawa Rainforest (A man and biosphere reserve) in Kithulgala. Then you will be experience the hill country endemics within misty cloud forest with cool breeze in both Galways Land National Park and Horton Plains National Park. During the last day you will get an opportunity to birding in the world first RAMSAR wetland city Colombo with attractive shopping hours in the late evening.

ITINERARY
Day 01

Pickup from airport and drive to Sinharaja Rainforest, Kudawa for birding. Overnight stay at Kudawa.

Day 02

Birding in Sinharaja for more endemics, after lunch travel to Kithulgala, birding in Kithulgala, Makandawa forest reserve if time prevails. Overnight stay at Kithulgala.

Day 03

Birding in Kithulgala, Makandawa forest reserve and village till noon, after lunch drive to Nuwara Eliya, with stops at scenic locations. Overnight at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 04

At 0430hrs leave for Horton Plains National Park and birding, return to Nuwara Eliya for late lunch and drive to Colombo for shopping and overnight stay.

Day 05

Birding at Colombo wetlands (depending on the time of flight schedules) and leave for airport.
